Jaynagar to Janakpur Railway (Nepal) Hunslet 0-6-2T "Surya"
Caption - Jaynagar to Janakpur Railway (Nepal) was an international 2-foot 6-inch gauge railway from the Indian Railways station at Jaynagar. The line was later extended north to Bizalpura, but this section closed in 2001. This busy scene was taken in December 1989 at Khajuri (Nepal) and shows "Surya" a Hunslet built 0-6-2T (3875/1962) on a well-loaded passenger train. The line closed about 2010 but has since been converted to Indian Railways broad gauge with the first train running on 18th September 2020.
