Caption - USATC S160 2-8-0 KD6 478 at Fushun West Coal Mine (China) in April 1985. Over 2,000 of these locos were built by Baldwin, Lima, and ALCO during WWII. Most were dispatched to Europe including the UK. At the end of the war, some were sent to China where they received new chimneys and larger cabs. In 1978 some were working on the main Chinese railway system in the Shanghai area. Most ended their days in industrial use like the example shown.
