Stories from a Railway Enthusiast
Nostalgia is an important part of being a railway enthusiast as we all love to remember the 'good old days' of steam. More recently we have also considered the older diesel and electrtic locomotives that are now being replaced by modern multiple units. We also fondly remember the many railway routes that have been closed as a result of changing economics. All of these provide a rich source of stories which unless they are recorded will be lost with time. Here are a few of my favourites. Hope you enjoy reading them.
