Caption - East African Railways class 31 2-8-4 no.3126 "Jie" at Thompson's Falls (Kenya) in January 1971. The loco had the shortest name on the railway! Vulcan Foundry (UK) built 46 of these locos for branch line duties in 1955. Meter gauge, oil burners they saw service across the East African Railway network. This very clean loco shows the livery at its best.
