Caption - La Carlota sugar mill on the island of Negros in the Philippines was home to an interesting three-foot gauge railway with ten American built steam locos. This view shows 0-6-0T no. 106 (Baldwin 59268/1926) working a short train in the cane fields. Like all the locos except one, no.106 was fired with bagasse which is a vegetable waste product of the sugar refining process.
