FC General Roca broad gauge 3-cylinder Class 11C 4-8-0 at Tandil
Caption - Argentina FC General Roca 5-foot 6-inch gauge three-cylinder Class 11C 4-8-0 (Armstrong Whitworth 1928) at Tandil in 1977. These engines, constructed in the 1920's, were thoroughly upgraded in the 1950's. Argentina's railways had significant British involvement with three gauges. Broad Gauge was favoured by most of the private companies although the FC Urquiza used standard gauge with the FC Belgrano opting for metre gauge.
