Caption - State Railway of Thailand (SRT) metre gauge 2-8-2 no. 944 at Tha Chana. Built by Mitsubishi (Japan) in 1950, this oil burner is in superb condition like all the steam locomotives in Thailand. This image was taken in April 1973 with steam facing withdrawal within a few years as a large diesel loco order was imminent.
