19704 - Birminghm Moor Street trains
Caption - GWR 2800 class 2-8-0 no. 2885 is on display at platform 5 at Moor Street station which remains unconnected to the main line. These 2-8-0s were very popular with crews and a common sight on the former Great Western main line hauling heavy freights. Since 1948 this loco was allocated to Stourbridge Junction so could have been seen quite regularly in the Birmingham area. In the background on platform 3 is Chiltern Railways 165027 ready to work to Leamington Spa.
