British Railways Q1 class 0-6-0 33009 at Horsham
Caption - British Railways Q1 class 0-6-0 33009 Horsham in June 1960. Forty of these austerity locos were built by the Southern Railway in 1942 to help with increased freight traffic during the war. They were designed to minimise the use of materials and maximise power. As can be imagined railway enthusiasts gave them many nicknames including Biscuit Tins and Frankensteins!
