Caption - Ponferrada Villablino metre gauge Engerth 2-6+4 no.12 at Toreno in May 1975. The main feature of the Engerth design was an articulated tender which was part of the locomotive's main frames. This resulted in some of the tender weight loaded on the driving wheels, improving adhesion. The articulation allowed the loco use narrow curves.
