Central Railway (India) G class 4-6-4 725 at Kurduvadi
Caption - Central Railway (India) two-foot six-inch gauge G class 4-6-4 725 at Kurduvadi December 1982. 725 was of nine locos in the class and built by Nasmyth Wilson (1586/1930) with two of the class built by Bagnall. The Barsi Light Railway was known for many innovative features and ran for 202 miles (325 km) from Miraj via Kuruvadi to Barsi and Latur. The railway remained in private hands until 1954 when it was purchased by Indian Railways. In 1979 the line had 30 locos - 5 ZE, I B/1, 2 BS, 13 F and 9 G class.
