Caption - Zimbabwe Railways (NRZ) 15th class 4-6-4+4-6-4 Garratt 416 'Umkhombo' at Hwange in August 1992. The train would have started a short distance away from Thomson Junction and is heading south to Bulawayo. Built under subcontract by Franco-Belge, 416 carried Beyer Peacock worksplate 7557/1952. The loco was one of the class refurbished between 1980 and 1983. The class lasted in service until 2018 at Wankie Colliery. The train would be faced with a continuous climb from TJ up to the first water point at Lukosi. A failed diesel is cut in the train with two wagons between the locos to spread the load on bridges and culverts.
