Caption - Czechoslovakian Railways (CSD) 2-8-0 434-2214 in July 1969. 343 of these useful 2-8-0's were built between 1924 and 1947. The 434 Class was based on an earlier Austrian design dating back to 1897. The class lasted until the end of steam in 1982. At least one example is preserved.
