Caption - Deutsch Bundesbahn (DB) 2-10-0 50-4011 with Franco-Crosti preheater at Kirchweyhe near Bremen in July 1966. Over 3000 class 50 2-10-0s were built between 1939 and 1948. In 1958 30 members of the class were rebuilt with Franco-Crosti smoke gas preheaters and numbered 50 4001 to 4030. The loco featured above was the only example of the conversions with oil firing. They were all withdrawn by 1967.
