Porto Campanhã station digital diary

Portugal - 2013

Campanhã is the main station in Portugal's second city of Porto. Originally built in 1877 it was recently modernised retaining some of the historic features. Traffic is mainly in the hands of class 3400 EMUs with some DMUs for trains to Vigo in Spain and along the Douro Valley. Intercity trains to Lisbon and the Algarve see some loco hauled trains as well as Pendolino tilting EMUs. Freight traffic is limited. The limited of images in this gallery reflects the limited interest of Portuguese Railways since its whoesale modernisation.
