Luxembourg evening rush hour trains

Luxembourg - 2013

Luxembourg station is the main railway station serving Luxembourg City and is operated by Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois (CFL), the state-owned railway company. It is the main hub of Luxembourg's domestic railway network and also has international services to Belgium, France, and Germany. It is also connected to the LGV Est with convenient connections to the French TGV network. The current station was built between 1907 and 1913 and has an imposing clock tower. Modernisation started in 2006 and this work is now complete. The station occupies a cramped location and an especially at rush hours sees very effective use of all the available platforms. The main railway workshops are adjacent to the station together with a restored locomotive roundhouse which dates from the days of steam.
