Budapest Keleti trains at Lunchtime

Hungary - 2012

Budapest Keleti railway station (Budapest Keleti palyaudvar) is the main international and inter-city railway terminal in Budapest, Hungary and sees considerable traffic the majority of which is loco-hauled. Photography is probably best in the morning until early afternoon. Traffic within Hungary is the main focus of operation although the station sees considerable international traffic from surrounding countries. There is also plenty of shunting with three station pilots kept busy for most of the day. Coaching stock is very varied. Locos visiting from Slovakia and Austria are common with the recent addition of Romania (although not featured in this gallery).
