Schwarzach St Veit is a junction that lies on the circuitious route from Salzburg to Innsbruck via Zell-am-See. Going south from the station is the line to Villach fwith connections to Italy and Slovenia. Traffic is not that intensive although there is still plenty of loco hauled passenger and some freight traffic.
