Afternoon trains at Frankfurt Hbf

Germany - 2011

Frankfurt is a major railway hub seeing a wide variety of services operated by Deutsche Bahn and some private companies. The station is spread over a wide area with a large number of approach tracks. Taking photographs of trains requires a lot of walking! This afternoon visit to both Frankfurt Hbf and Frankfurt Sud saw a number of current classes. As at other German termini many of the locos, even on push pull sets, are positioned at the buffer stops end of the train which does restrict photography.
