Leipzig Hbf is an important terminus and the focus of a number of routes in the area. The rather grand station features a large hall that runs the length of the platform ends.. Of particular interest to railway enthusiats are three preserved electric locos together with a Kreigslok 2-10-0 steam loco and one of the pioneer diesel units.
