Steam and trams south of Porto

Portugal - 1977

Portuguese metre gauge railways south of Porto lines from Espinho via Sernada do Vouga to Aveiro and Sernada to Viseu. Diesel railcars replaced steam. I have to admit the disel railcars were also of interest and were supplemented by very occasional steam workings by the time this visit was made in 1977. The visit also included a very brief stop in the fine city of Coimbra to see the vintage trams.
