Paris St Lazare suburban traffic

France - 2011

St Lazare station in Paris has been undergoing extensive refurbishment. By 2012 this work should be complete and the station, from a passenger's perspective, will be back to normal. The station has a very restricted layout operationally yet handles intensive suburban traffic, both loco hauled and EMUs. In addition there are also loco-hauled intercity trains which are not featured in these images. It is worth noting that this is not the easiest station in Paris for photography due to its cramped location. This is especially true of the intercity services on the northern platforms.
