Rush hour trains at Brussels Nord

Brussels has a very intensive rush hour service with many locos pressed into service for these trains. At the time of the visit there were still 50 year old electrics still in daily service taking commuters to and from work in the Belgian capital city. Brussels Nord station is not an attractive station architecturally but it does handle significant traffic fairly efficiently during peak hours.
