Belgian Railways in Flanders

Belgium - 2011

Bruges is on the main line from Brussels to Oostende with branches west to the coast at Blankenberge, Zeebrugge & Knokke. Another branch goes south to Kortrijk. Weekends on Belgian Railways see fewer passenger trains and if this visit was typical very few freight movements. These images were taken during a visit to Bruges in June 2011. The weather was mix of bright sunshine and heavy showers.
