Trains at Lehrte near Hannover

Germany - 2011

Lehrte is a busy junction 10 kilometres east of Hannover Hbf. Traffic is split roughly 50/50 between freight and passenger trains. With around ten to twelve freights per hour plus a good proportion of passenger traffic loco-hauled this junction is well worth a visit. The only downside is that photography of the freight traffic is not easy because of general lineside clutter.
