Stourbridge Junction & Town stations

Stourbridge Junction has, for many years, been served by 150 class DMUs on the main line between Worcester and Birmingham Snow Hill and a class 153 DMU on the short branch to Stourbridge Town. The 153 has gone replaced with class 139 Parry People Movers. The end of the 150's was in sight, when this gallery was filmed, with new class 172s due in early 2011. This series of images were taken in the space of an hour. Stourbridge Junction was one of my favourite stations in steam days and the visit was part nostalgic. What a change. From a busy station with loads of freight, expresses and a busy suburban service you never knew what you would see. Today you can almost guess the numbers before you leave home.
