Trains at Rugeley on the WCML

This gallery contains images gathered during a spell of 90 minutes watching trains at Rugeley Trent Valley on the West Coast main line. Expresses were mostly Pendolinos with rather too many diesel powered Voyagers operating under the wires. The local service via Walsall to Birmingham New Street was operated by the usual class 170 and class 170+153 combinations. Freight was fairly busy with two southbound services not photographed because of Pendolinos getting the way! These were a DRS 664xx on containers and a pair of Freightliner 86 class electrics also hauling containers.
