Gregorio A Manalich sugar mill featured steam on two gauges - standard and 30". As with all sugar mills in Cuba, the locos are of American origin. Access to the steam locos on Cuba was restricted and the first visit in 1979. Afetr being a closed country for many decades little was known about the locos operating at each sugar mill. Visiting a mill was like opening Christmas presents with many pleasant surprises. Gregorio A Manalich sugar mill was typical and these images provide a selection of what could be seen.
