Steam locos around Faisalabad

Pakistan - 1985

This major railway junction provided a variety of steam motive power well into the 1980s. Some of the loco types were distinctly British in character and this was helped by the many semaphone signals around the station and yards. The older 0-6-0s and 2-8-0s had influence from the Great Central Railway design team in Britain and the fact they survived so long is testimony to quality of their engineering.
