Caption - A pair of South African Railways (SAR) Cape gauge 19D class 4-8-2's with daily Maclear to Sterkstroom passenger in August 1982. This long branch was, in my opinion, one of the finest in the world with varied scenery, gradients and hard worked locomotives. The image was taken as the sun was sinking fast as the train neared Sterkstroom.
