Caption - South African Railways (SAR) 3-foot 6-inch gauge class 25 4-8-4 3468 leaves Orange River with a southbound freight in April 1980. The crew are faced with a long, steady climb up to Kraankuil after a start from Orange River which was where the locos took water and had their fires cleaned. 3468 was one of the converted condensing locos.
