Caption - Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR) BR44 three cylinder 2-10-0 44.0280 passes the loco shed at Saalfeld with a freight for Jena in September 1976. Nearly 2,000 of these powerful locos were constructed between 1926 and 1946. This bridge was a popular place for visiting enthusiasts to watch steam hauled traffic at this busy junction.
