VISL metre gauge F class 0-6-0 & E class 4-4-4T

Caption - Visvesvaraya Iron & Steel Company (VISL) had both metre and two-foot 6-inch gauge internal railways at Bhadravathi near Mysore. Seen here in March 1978 are metre gauge F class 0-6-0 (Dubs 4415/03) and E class 4-4-4T 37244 (North British 22782/20). Both locos were busy shunting on the day of my visit despite their antiquity. Interestingly both still carried the South Railways (India) initials. VISL was formerly Mysore Iron & Steel.
