Caption - East African Railways (EAR) class 59 4-8-2+2-8-4 Garratt 5918 "Mount Gelai" (Beyer-Peacock 7649/55) at Mombasa loco shed in December 1977. Catching the last of the day's sunshine the low light emphasises the cleanliness of this wonderful loco. Cared for by regular drivers Kirpal Singh and Walter Pinto and their firemen this loco now resides in Nairobi Railway Museum.
