Caption - East African Railways (EAR) metre gauge class 24 4-8-0 2416 leaves Kisian with a freight from Kisumu to Butere in December 1977. Vulcan Foundry (UK) built 62 locos in this class between 1923 and 1930 making it the most numerous class to operate on East African Railways. A few of the class survived until the end of steam.
