Caption - YG class 2-8-2 3204 (Telco 155/1956) in 1978. 1074 of these useful metre gauge locos were built between 1952 and 1970. Manufacturers from India, USA, Canada, Japan and Czechoslovakia were responsible for their construction. Seen across the majority of the Indian metre gauge network, their prime function was hauling freight although they were often seen on passenger trains too. Note the fireman on the tender which gives some scale to the size of these locos.
