Caption - Polish Railways (PKP) 2-6-2 Ol49 3 2-6-2 at Sierpc in July 1977. 116 of these modern locomotives were built between 1951 and 1954 and they remained in action to the end of steam in Poland. Interestingly 4 were exported to North Korea! Sierpc depot was popular with enthusiasts in the mid-1970s as it was featured on official tours to see steam in Poland. Today a couple remain in working condition at Wolsztyn with a number also plinthed at stations.
