Pakistan Railways XA class broad gauge 4-6-2 2668 at Kundian
Caption - The XA class broad gauge 4-6-2's were designed for branch passenger services and were included in the Indian Railway Standard (IRS) classes. Built between 1929 and 1935, a total of 113 were delivered by Vulcan Foundry. This view shows Pakistan Railways 2668 at Kundian in 1980 where they were used on services to Multan and Faisalabad. After partition the class was split between Pakistan and India with the latter locos not lasting as long as their counterparts in Pakistan.
