Caption - South African Railways (SAR) Cape gauge class 15CA 4-8-2 no.2810 at Witbank loco shed in September 1971. The class numbered 84 locos from Baldwin (USA), Breda (Italy) and North Btitish (UK). Thc class started work between Cape Town and Kimberley. They then moved to the Bloemfontein and worked in the Free State before finally moving north to the Eastern Transvaal. For a period in the 1960s the class was worked on the Natal North and South Coast lines before being shifted to the Cape Northern. The class ended its days in the Transvaal from Witbank and Germiston.
