Caption - Burma Mines Railway 2-foot gauge Bagnall 2-6-2 no.42 (2338/28) with a rake of ore cars in 2000. The mine produces silver, lead and cobalt. The system extended over 80 km. although today little is in use. Over the years the railway had 47 steam locos. From 1914 new locos included Kerr Stuart 0-4-2Ts (Huxley and Tattoo class) plus Bagnall 2-6-2 tender locos as 42 pictured. The later Bagnall locos were delivered as 2-6-2Ts and some of the tender locos were converted to tank engines.
