Caption - Pakistan Railways 2-foot 6-inch gauge GS class 2-8-2 (North British 22772/21) is seen between Laki Marwat and Bannu on the Mari Indus system. This line had significant strategic importance when India was ruled by the British. The line's proximity to the north-west frontier enabled deployment of troops and equipment in the area beyond the terminus at Bannu.
