Western Railway WT class 0-6-4T 597 at Nadiad
Caption - Western Railway (India) with a busy scene at Nadiad in February 1974 with WT class 0-6-4T 597 (Bagnall 2281/1925). From Nadiad 2-foot 6-inch gauge lines went south to Bhadran (59 km) and north to Kapadvanj (45km). Each section saw four return trains each day. As can be seen, the locos were kept in superb external condition with an allocation of 8 ZB class 2-6-2s, 1 W class 0-6-2 and 4 WT class 0-6-4Ts.
