Caption - State Railway of Thailand (SRT) wood burning 2-8-2 no.356 at Haad Yai loco depot in April 1973. 356 was one of a batch of mixed traffic locos built by Kisha Seizo (Japan) in 1936. The loco is immaculate looking as new despite 37 years of service. Note the polished wheel rims and perfect paintwork. This attention to overall appearance was typical of many Thai locos especially from this depot.
