Caption - China Railways 2-10-2's QJ 350 and QJ 1959 head a heavy freight out of Datong in October 1983 on the main line towards Beijing. Incidentally both locos were manufactured at the works in Datong. The end of steam is in sight with overhead power almost ready for use. The route ahead includes a lengthy climb for about 12 miles and all heavy freights were double headed.
