Caption - Indonesian Railways (PJKA) 2-8-4T no.45 at Tebingtinggi, North Sumatra. This wood burner was built in 1916 by Werkspoor in the Netherlands for the 3 ft. 6 in. gauge Deli Railway. Seen here in 1983 there was still enough active steam to warrant a visit with the locos kept in immaculate condition. Most of the freight traffic was for the extensive palm oil estates.
