Caption - East African Railways (EAR) metre gauge 1-Bo-Bo-1 class 91 no.9106 is seen at Eldoret depot in 1969. These single-ended English Electric built locos entered service in 1968 and were designed with low axle load for lighter laid branch lines. Later in their life they were renumbered as class 71 and the sole survivor lasted until 2014. Note the immaculate condition of 9105 and its sister in the shed yard.
