Zimbabwe Railways 15th class Garratt 385 "Ingwenya" near Lukosi
Caption - Zimbabwe Railways (NRZ) refurbished 15th class Garratt 385 "Ingwenya" heads a mixed freight from Thomson Junction to Bulawayo in July 1984. The Garratt is plodding uphill on the section to Lukosi where the loco will take water. This loco was one of a batch of 15 delivered by Beyer Peacock in 1949 and 1950. 385 underwent a total rebuild in the early 1980's and was virtually a new engine when it left the ZECO factory in Bulawayo.
