Caption - Deutsches Reichsbahn (DR) BR 65.10 2-8-4T 65.1039 is seen in the pouring rain at Saalfeld in September 1976. Intended for local passenger trains, 88 of these locos were built between 1954 and 1957. The last examples were taken out of service in 1977. Latterly they were fitted with Giesl ejectors.
