Pakistan Railways XA class 4-6-2 2705 at Sakrand Junction
Caption - Pakistan Railways XA class 4-6-2 2705 prepares for its next duty at Sakrand Junction in March 1979. This was an example of the Indian Railway Standard branch passenger class that was introduced in 1928 with a total production of 113 locos built by Vulcan Foundry. 37 of these light Pacifics passed to Pakistan Railways in 1947. Looking very dusty, this loco was at work on the branch lines of west of Nawabshah in Sind Province. The class was withdrawn by the end of the 1980s.
