Caption - Northern Railways (India) SGC class 0-6-0 36628 simmers on Delhi Junction loco shed in December 1978. This nicely decorated example was used for carriage shunts in the adjacent station area. Built by Vulcan Foundry in 1909 as a non-superheated Standard Goods it was later converted hence the SCC classification. This was a large class of useful 0-6-0's whose design was reminiscent of similar 0-6-0's built for the Great Central Railways in the UK. The last examples ended their working lives in Pakistan during the 1990's.
